Leaving The Military

The gym has been a part of my life for a very long time but never knew how important it was to me until I left the military and moved to a new country. No matter how stressed I was or what was going on outside of the gym, the gym still remained the same. The only thing that matters in there to me is moving weights, it’s my getaway from whatever’s going on. Since leaving the military I needed to find a new challenge so took up powerlifting, it gives me the opportunity to challenge myself mentally and physically.

Physical activity and sport has given me a lot, I am a successful personal trainer and now own my own business, it has also opened up my social circle to meeting new people which has been incredibly important with moving somewhere new. I feel for a lot of ex-military finding a sport or a hobby is critical to mental health, you’ve been pushed physically and mentally to achieve what most think is impossible, imagine if you channel that into doing anything you want, with the mindset ex-military have anything is possible and you will find success just keep pushing!
