Hi, I’m Georgia and I’m 22 when I got approached to write for myo minds I was more than happy to oblige in sharing my own story. I have had my own battles with mental health since I was 17 but exercise to me at that age was walking to the fridge and back. Being 22 now I really can see the true benefits of exercise on my own mental health. Anytime that I begin to feel anxious or even If I’m stressed, I take myself to the gym. Being at the gym isn’t about being ‘fit’ for me it’s the concept of “headphone in, world out.” Since I started going to the gym around a year ago, I’m a lot let stressed or anxious! Going the gym has also made me feel a lot more confident in myself and that has had a positive impact on my mental health too.
